Summer time swimming has arrived

Our first trip to the pool for 2010 was a huge success. Grandma came along for a second set of watch-ful eyes. Dayna went in with no fear whatsoever (unlike last year) She goofed around in the very shallow end and without my prompting, she ventured into the waist/chest deep part and off she went. Up and down the slide with no begging me to come along. Underneath the sunflower sprinkler without complaining of water in her eyes. She even put her face into the water. It was glorious! Gavin, on the other hand, wasn't quite so eager but once he realized he could splash like in the bathtub but that mommy wouldn't scold him to stop, he was all too thrilled. The two of us stayed near those bubbling fountain things and that was just fine with me.
