Sleep...where are you?

I know. This is the second time I've talked about sleeping. For some reason, it is my only goal each day. A typical day goes something like this:

7:00 Dayna is awake. One of us goes to get her. We eat breakfast, play and watch TV for awhile
9:30 Dayna is cranky so I try to put her to sleep. This involves whining, wiggling, struggling to get out of my arms and me doing a lot of "shhh shhh shhh" until I'm almost hoarse.
9:45 I give up and just put her in her crib. I storm out of the room. She cries for 5-15 minutes while her little froggy pal sings to her. I stew on the couch trying to figure out what to do different next time.
10:00 Silence. I peek and she's asleep. Phew!!
10:30-11:00 I hear some fidgeting on the monitor. I peek and she's wide awake, playing with her toes. Very cute. I go and get her and she smiles so big as if to say "Hi mommy! I'm so glad I'm awake. Sleeping is boring. Now we can play again!!"
1:00 Repeat pattern from 9:30.
5:00 Repeat
7:30 Repeat
9:30 Dayna is now furiously rubbing her eyes and yawning. We wrap her up and give her a bottle. Usually she devours the bottle in seconds, lets out this kind of moaning/whining sound for a few minutes and falls asleep in our arms. She's in her crib by 10:00 for sure.
3:00 Dayna is awake. I go in and nurse her.
5:30 Dayna is awake. Ryan goes in and rocks her back so sleep.
6:30 - 7:00 Here we go again.

The photo above is from this morning's battle. See - her froggy pal is there with her. He usually does all the work after I've left the room in frustration.

This photo is a few months old but it depicts the level of fury Dayna lets loose when she's decided that it is NOT time to sleep. --->

<--- Here we see Dayna on the very rare occasion in which she nods off on her own.
